Natural Sterol Complex by Universal Nutrition Testosterone Booster Review

From Universal Nutrition comes Natural Sterol Complex, a natural anabolic formula that’s geared towards boosting libido, testosterone, and general health.

Think of it as a jack of all trades supplement; it contains a bunch of plant sterols, fatty acids, minerals, and other natural compounds. Together, they’re meant to act as a natural alternative to steroids and hormones, helping you with muscle recovery and testosterone.

But there’s also a concern with proprietary blends in this product. The dosage of each ingredient is secretly kept hidden from you, which makes it hard to determine whether this product will give you the results you need or not.

But as always, let’s look at the ingredients, dosage, and side effects. This will give us a pretty good picture of what results will this product give you.

Pros and Cons of Natural Sterol Complex

  • Uses natural ingredients
  • Stinging Nettle Root helps with libido
  • Supports general health and antioxidant activity in the body

  • All ingredients are disclosed in proprietary blends – you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re putting in your body
  • Some users report side effects
  •  Tribulus Terrestris is dangerous for your prostate health
  • Uses 3-6 big pills in one serving, which can be an overkill for a lot of people

Natural Sterol Complex is an all-natural formula that’s geared towards boosting low testosterone, optimizing recovery, and promoting general health and well-being.

Will it be able to deliver these benefits, we have yet to see – the ingredients will reveal us the answer.

Dosage | How To Use

Don’t be surprised when we say that Natural Sterol Complex comes with a daily serving of 6 tablets.

This would be a great thing if these tablets were spread throughout the day, but that isn’t the case here. You should take 3-6 tablets all at once.

We don’t need to mention how hard it can be for some people to swallow so many tablets, especially when you realize they are quite big in size.

There’s also a problem of only 1-2 daily servings that Natural Sterol Complex Offers. This isn’t the optimal dosage for your testosterone to stay elevated for longer than few hours.

You want to look for 3-4 daily servings spread evenly throughout the day. This will ensure a constant trickle of nutrients to your system, keeping your T-levels high wherever you are.

If your head hurt when you looked at the sheer number of ingredients in Natural Sterol Complex, know that you’re not alone.

The product contains a whopping 40 ingredients. As a result, it made me want to shoot a bullet through my head just by looking through them.

But this wouldn’t be such a big problem, if all of the ingredients came in the right dosages. As you’ll soon see, the ingredients are actually hidden in a proprietary blend. This means that they don’t show their dosages for you to see – you can’t tell whether they’ll work or not.

A really disappointing show by Universal Nutrition; we’d expected more from a company that’s been producing supplements since 1977.

Ingredient Breakdown

Anabolic Sterol Complex

Here we have the first and probably the most important blend in terms of boosting testosterone. It’s an Anabolic Sterol Complex which totals 2,000mg with all the ingredients in it.

However, we can’t see what the dosage of each ingredient is, because Anabolic Sterol Complex is a proprietary blend, just like every other complex in this product.

Among the more notable ingredients, we have Beta Ecdysterone, Kudzu Root, and Phytosterols (Stigmasterol, Campesterol, Beta Sisterol, and Mixed Sterols). These are all natural sterols which are thought to have anabolic properties; boosting muscle growth, as well as testosterone.

However, research on these ingredients is inconclusive at best, which makes many of these ingredients unreliable.

What’s worse, we have Tribulus Terrestris in this blend. If you’re already familiar with testosterone boosters, then you know that Tribulus Terrestris causes prostate enlargement in men. While it might give you a slight boost in libido, the benefits are clearly not worth the risk here.

Mass And Density Blend

Mass and Density Blend is another mix of ingredients with hidden dosages. In total, they all come out at 2,500mg per serving.

This is another testosterone and muscle-boosting blend, containing ingredients like Stinging Nettle Root, Panax Ginseng, and Ashwagandha.

Some of the ingredients in this blend can raise your libido and even indirectly promote healthy testosterone. Ashwagandha, for example, lowers cortisol, preventing it from destroying your testosterone.

Stinging Nettle Root is great for boosting libido, and Panax Ginseng does have some slight benefits for testosterone.

We also have Kola Nut which is packed with caffeine, so sensitive people should definitely watch out for that – especially since we can’t tell what the dosage of these ingredients is. Too much caffeine can result in many adverse side effects, ranging from mild anxiety to full-blown panic attacks and increased blood pressure.

Opti-Phytonutrient Complex

This complex is aimed at detoxifying the body and supporting internal organs and their health.

The ingredients include;

  • Alfalfa – it’s a flowering plant that contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals for general health.
  • Milk Thistle – helps detoxify the liver.
  • Spirulina – It’s a superfood containing numerous minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. On top of this, studies link it to cognitive enhancement in elderly people.
  • Dandelion Root – Similarly to Milk Thistle, Dandelion is known for aiding in liver health.
  • Garlic – Great for immunity and cardiovascular health.
  • Ginger Root – Helps against fungal infections and stomach problems such as nausea.
  • Licorice Root – Used to treat stomach conditions such as gastritis.
  • Wheat Grass (Leaf) – Rich source of vitamins A, B, C, E, and K.
  • Saw Palmetto – Reduces the risk of prostate cancer.
  • Celery Seed – Source of antioxidants and beneficial enzymes.
  • Cayenne (fruit) – Aids in digestion and helps promote a faster metabolism.
  • Chlorella – Supports immune and hormone function in both men and women.

While these ingredients are pointless in a testosterone booster, they are good for anyone looking to maintain their general health. However, even that comes under question, since we can’t tell the dosages of these ingredients.

EFA Complex and Support Blend (500mg)

This is a blend with an extremely low total dose of ingreidents, which makes us doubt its efficacy.

Some of the ingredients include Alpha-Linoleic Acid, Oleic Acid, Stearic Acid, and Phosphatidylinositol.

Some of these are sources of essential Omega-3 fatty acids which are important for your cardiovascular health.

But if you’re looking to boost your testosterone, this blend won’t help you with that.

Muscle Cell Protection Blend

Again, another blend with a low combined dose of ingredients – 500mg. Not to mention that they are all part of a proprietary blend, so we can’t tell the dosage of each ingredient inside.

This specific blend is geared towards increasing antioxidant activity in your body. Which means, it can help fight off free radicals. But again, since we don’t know the dosages of the ingredients, the effects of this blend are questionable at best.

Among the ingredients, we have;

  • Green Tea Extract – contains catechins which can help burn fat in the right doses.
  • Ginkgo Biloba Leaf – improves cognitive functioning in elderly. It also thins your blood, which can be dangerous if you’re on a blood-thinning medication.
  • Citrus Bioflavonoids – Source of antioxidants.
  • Grapeseed Extract – Another natural antioxidant, helps fight off free radicals.
  • Lycopene – It’s yet another antioxidant that delivers general health benefits.

What Others Say

Natural Sterol Complex by Universal Nutrition Testosterone Booster Review

“Would not recommend: caused stomach cramps on a daily basis, these things are extremely large by pill standard, who knows what’s really in them!” – Tommy Thornton (Amazon Customer)

“This is a great product if you want to add this to your diet for working out in the gym. This is also good for those who need more energy and strength to get things done. Even in the bedroom. This works, but over time. Don’t expect it to and just sit on the couch, and give it a bad review. Shame on you then. The strength comes and goes on certain days.” – MasterJedi Clay (Amazon Customer)

“I think “ehh” properly describes this product. I made sure that I followed the exact directions in using it. Nothing happened. I did not gain extra size or strength. Once I was finished with the product I continued the same routine I had done and experienced the same results without the product. I would not recommend this. Maybe it’s just not for me.”SamoanThor4 (Bodybuilding.Com Customer)

Side Effects

There aren’t many side effects reported from taking Natural Sterol Complex. Some users did have minor issues, like stomach cramps and aches, but that’s about it.

The real concern with this product lies in hidden dosages of the ingredients. Ingredients such as Kola Nut and Green Tea have a lot of caffeine in them, and if the dosages are high enough, you can experience some serious side effects.

On top of this, Natural Sterol Complex uses Tribulus Terrestris, which can be dangerous for your prostate. If you’re unsure about your tolerance to aggressive ingredients like Tribulus, we’d highly suggest to avoid them!

Conclusion to Natural Sterol Complex

Natural Sterol Complex is not a terrible product, but there’s a lot of room for improvement left. First off, we’d like to see all of the ingredients and their dosages. Proprietary blends are cheap tactics and a thing of the past. Every good testosterone booster clearly shows you their ingredients and dosages.

Secondly, Natural Sterol Complex could use more daily servings. While 1-2 daily servings might give you some general health benefits, they are simply not enough to keep your testosterone raised for long periods of time.

And lastly, we’d like to see a better choice of ingredients in Natural Sterol Complex. It seems like Universal Nutrition couldn’t figure out what they wanted to make out of this product – a multivitamin, or a testosterone booster? It’s hard to be both at the same time.

It’s a jack of all trades, master of none supplement if you will. It provides a bunch of different benefits, none powerful enough on their own to give you any serious results.
